DescriptionCarpet; Ghiordes knot; about 88 knots per square inch; two shoots red wool wefts after each row of knots. Colors: (7) Ground: field=red, border=dark blue, guard bands=red; Pattern: white, yellow, light blue, dark blue, green, orange-red, red. The center of the field has an oval medallion with a pendant at each end. They have a design of arabesques interlacing with floral scrolls. The arabesque bears full and half palmettes forming various devices. At the four corners of the field there are sections of star- shaped medallions. Two additional pendants are placed in the vertical axis of the central medallion. The rest of the field is decorated with floral scrolls bearing palmettes and leaves. The border has a floral pattern of large palmettes altern ating with smaller ones on stems. The inner and outer guard bands have wavy floral scrolls
