DescriptionCarpet: Ghiordes knot; approximately 60 knots per sq. inch; two shots natural wool wefts after each row of knots. Colors: Ground: field-rose-red; main border-creamy white; inner border- blue; Pattern: yellow, green, mauve, light blue, dark blue. The field has heavy, leafy trellis of alternating green, yellow, and mauve, enclosing large heraldic palmettes. One cartouche enclosing a highly stylized dragon and phoenix. The main border on a creamy-white ground has leafy shrubs outlined in the colors of the field. The guard borders feature triangle and bar design. Descriptive information furnished by Joseph McMullan.
