DescriptionCarpet: ghiordes knot: 66 knots per square inch; two shoots natural cotton wefts after each row of knots. Colors: ground: field-red; border-creamy white; inner guard band-blue and black; outer guard band-creamy white and red. Pattern: white, yellow, pink, red, light blue, dark blue, green. The field has an allover symmetrical pattern of angular floral scrolls bearing large stylized lotus palmettes, large composite rosettes, star-shaped motifs, serrated leaves and bifurcated volutes arranged in several vertical rows. The border is decorated with a series of stems with three branches bearing trefoils. The guard bands have a reciprocal pattern of trefoils.
