DescriptionMazzarene: oblong oval dish of hard-paste porcelain with ogee rim and instep for oval conforming strainer with three concentric rows of hole and a central large hole, the undersides of the dish and the strainer insert unglazed. The dish painted with a pink (puce), brown, and gold border of leafy grape vines with grape clusters. The center of the dish decorated with the crest of a bird's head clasping a branch between its beak on a gold and blue torse above a red and gold heart-shaped shield supported by s- and c-scrolls and two branches; the shield encloses the cypher "CM / J" in feathered script.
