DescriptionDeep circular pewter basin with double beaded edge on narrow width rim and flat central well.Label TextJoseph Leddel, Sr., is among the first generation of pewterers in America for whom work survives, albeit in limited quantiles. His son Joseph, Jr., was also a pewterer; it is difficult to distinguish between their output.Mark(s)Stamped on front of rim in relief once with “I•FROM•L/OLD:ENGLAND” in stacked rectangles with engrailed edges.
