DescriptionPewter sugar basin with bright cut decoration.Label TextThe body and the foot of this vessel (left) are both made from seamed sheet. The narrow milled border is applied at the rim. The dating of this piece is influenced by Scott's dating of this mark as in use between 1769 and about 1787. The fact that this basket, like CWF cream ewer 1985-200, share the same stamped "3" pattern number indicates that they were intended to be used together.
