DescriptionPlate: round plate of six lobes press-molded with a 7-barb feather-edge border; no foot ring. Three rectangular stilt marks to underside of the plate rim. The pale yellow glaze over buff body. The plate decorated with black transfer designs in what is often referred to by collectors as the "Liverpool Birds" pattern, but was frequently referred to in the period as "exotic birds" motif. The decoration in the center comprising two large pheasants in a parkland setting with two smaller birds flying overhead. The six lobes of the rim each with a different vignette of birds in a parkland setting.
