DescriptionTeapot of globular form with C-shaped handle and S-shaped spout, both of crabstock disposition. The shoulder with a small bead constituting the collar and the cover of conforming shape to the rest of the pot. The twig handle bent in a rectilinear arch. The underside concave forming an asymmetrical triangular foot ring of sorts. The smooth, creamy gray glaze with polychrome enamel decoration. The ground of sketchily drawn black lines suggesting marble with random washes of pink, green, blue, yellow, and gray. The body with two large shield-form reserves, each of which with a landscape with stone buildings in a sort of mottled taupe and red roofs. The buildings in a parkland setting with fens and waterways. with blue and pink skies with small flocks of birds overhead. The cover with two comparable reserves with similar scenes, but on a much smaller scale.
