DescriptionPlain white, heavily potted round fluted bowl with scalloped edge and round foot rim. Incised triangle on exterior base.Label TextWith its many shallow flutes, this dish is reminiscent of earlier English silver and Japanese porcelain. Equivalent Chelsea bowls of the raised anchor period have larger, more subtle flutes copying the Chinese lotus bowls. The piece was potted very thick for its size and is the only recorded example of the kind.Inscription(s)NoneMark(s)Incised triangle on exterior base.ProvenanceEx coll: M.G. Kaufman.
