DescriptionSoft-paste porcelain bowl or cup of bellied shape that tapers to a slightly flared rim. There is no foot ring. The decoration is hand painted. On one side of the exterior there are three birds in branches. On the opposite side of the exterior, there is a moth, a beetle, and a bird in flight. At the bottom of the inside of the bowl, there is a spray of flowers of various colors and size. There is a line of red, iron oxide, on the rim of the bowl.Label TextThese may be the "round water cups and saucers" or the "water cups and saucers with birds" listed in the 1755 Chelsea catalog.
