DescriptionDado plane with flat chamfers which end with a turn-out, and a nicker held by a wedge.Label TextBrothers George and Jonathan Lake originally hailed from Topsfield, Massachusetts and served in the American Revolutionary War. Receiving land grants for their service in the Vermont Militia, they relocated to their earned bounties near Rutland, Vermont. By 1800, George was in Woodstock, Vermont while Jonathan was in Chester and Springfield, Vermont.Mark(s)J.LAKE in relief within a serrated rectangle, struck into the toe (Elliott, GAWP 5th ed., p.220).
