DescriptionBaluster-shaped vase with spreading base and cylindrical everted neck. Bluish tin glaze decorated in blue with chinoiserie pattern: on the body, large flowering plants, four birds, and two large thin feathers; around the neck, a narrow band of spirals; on the shoulder, a broad band with scalloped edge and alternating panels of small spirals and trellis diaper with reserved containing two men in a sampan and a tree branch, respectively.Label TextThe London attribution is based on the strong blue color of the decoration and the discovery at Vauxhall Cross of a corner of an octagonal plate with the same diaper pattern, boat, and flowers.
