DescriptionRectangular quilt of white cotton hand-quilted with white running stitches (7 to 8 per inch). The quilt center features a large medallion around an elongated diamond and having overlapping "feather" motifs around the diamond. The rest of the center field is quilted with diagonal grid. The borders on all four sides have overlapping U shapes and spirals. White cotton backing and thin batting. Quilt is finished by turning back and front fabrics inward and stitching. Three sides are edged with triangular points.Label TextThis quilt is part of a large donation of quilts by the Shaifer family of Claiborne County, MS.
