DescriptionBaluster-shaped soft-paste porcelain jug with foot-ring, sparrow beak spout, and molded scroll handle. The jug is decorated with an underglaze, cobalt blue landscape that contains rocks, pine, and bamboo. The scene features a woman carrying a flower basket suspended from a rod she holds over her shoulder. Standing next to her is a spotted deer holding a piece of fungus in its mouth. There is a band of decoration at the rim of scrolls with flowers alternating with human heads. The terminals of the molded handle resemble acanthus leaves. The handle is highlighted with cobalt blue decoration.
