DescriptionDish: large circular hard-paste porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue with a central landscape scene of two figures next to a willow tree and two birds flying overhead; one figure carrying a pole from which suspends a basket.ProvenanceThe dish was purchased by William Goode Beville (Petersburg, Virginia) from Swan Tavern Antiques (Yorktown, Virginia). It remained in his collection until 2018 when it was given to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (Williamsburg, Virginia) as part of a bequest. It remains in the CWF collection to the present.
