DescriptionOblong octagonal Chinese porcelain dish of silver shape with underglaze blue decoration. Central scene depicts a house with courtyard and an arched entrywayon a rocky shore across the river from a distant pagoda amid pine and prunus trees. The cavetto is encircled by a densely scrolled or cloud border. Four floral sprays of peonies and other flowers decorate the rim. A cell and diaper border surrounds the edge of the face of the dish.
