DescriptionThis hand drawn fraktur consists of a central, circular wreath adorned with flower buds. A split eagle, complete with patriotic shield, grasping arrows in its proper left talon is situated at the top opening of the wreath, with an angel blowing a trumpet on either side. Large, orchid-like blossoms decorate the bottom two corners. Inside the wreath, in faded manuscript, is a fraktur for a girl named Elizabeth Nashold. The piece is signed in the bottom left of the wreath by Fred (probably abbreviating Frederick) Schule.
