DescriptionMug of baluster form with molded strap handle. The green-ish glaze over buff-colored body. The foot ring heavily chipped and uneven in character, appearing to be earlier rather than later damage. The mug decorated with transfer-print engravings by Robert Hancock. The first, with an image of the King of Prussia surmounting a banner with his name. Above him is a putto with a laurel wreath. The King turns to the left and points to a trophy of arms, with several flags. The flags list "Reisberg / Prague / Collin," "Welham, Rossbach, Breslau," and "Neumark, Lissa, Breslau." On the other side is Fame, represented as a small angel blowing a trumpet.Inscription(s)noMark(s)noProvenanceEx Coll: Knowles Roney (no. 457)
