DescriptionBaluster-shaped mug with narrow circular foot ring and molded C-scroll handle with molded lower terminal in the shape of a ju'i (the head of a Buddhist monk's scepter). Decorated in underglaze blue, red, and gold with chrysanthemums, peonies, and foliage. The upper exterior rim is bordered by a band of red diaper work interrupted by oval reserves containing flowers.Label TextChinese export porcelain decorated in the Imari colors of underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt was widely owned in Colonial America.Inscription(s)NoneMark(s)None
