DescriptionCylindrical-shaped object with four arched openings on the sides and short neck with everted lip. White tin glaze decorated in blue with a repeating floral motif and band of trellis diaper with oriental reserves at the bottom. Base unglazed.Label TextOne can only speculate on the intended use of this object. A seed holder to place in a bird cage seems the more plausible of the two suggested uses, but the possibility that it was a lantern or night light cannot be discounted. This example is larger than most, which are between four and five inches in height. The London attribution is based on the form and the decoration.Inscription(s)NoMark(s)No
