DescriptionA white, flared vase holding a bouquet of flowers. There is no ground line, or support, shown. The 2-inch molded gilded frame is probably a period replacement.Label TextThe pale hues of the flowers and vase give this work a soft, watery appearance. The yellow and light peach-colored blossoms on the left-side of the bouquet are more closely grouped than those on the right side. Four gold bands ornament the translucent vase, whose lightly shadowed blue edges contribute to its rounded form.ProvenanceFound in New York [city? state? unclear in file] by Edith Gregor Halpert, Downtown Gallery, New York, NY, and purchased from Halpert by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller
