DescriptionHemispherical bowl on straight sided circular foot. Exterior of bowl decorated with in blue chinoiserie style with image of 1 large house with fence and 2 smaller houses, all surrounded by shrubbery, trees, water, and birds. Center of interior painted in blue with "May the / Evenings Deversion / bear the / Mornings Reflection" encircled by 2 blue lines. The interior rim is painted with a border pattern of chinoiserie scrolls, stylized bell flowers, and larger dotted diaper flowers.Inscription(s)"May the / Evenings Deversion / bear the / Mornings Reflection"ProvenancePurchased from Avis and Rockwell Gardiner in 1973.
