DescriptionJug: slightly splayed foot supports elongated pear-shaped body; angled beak spout opposite extruded ribbed ear-shaped handle with kicked and pinched lower terminal; scratch blue decoration mimicking a bottle label with a roccoco shell decorated shield-shaped cartouche enclosing the word "ALE" below the spout suspended by a faux chain also in scratch blue that encircles the body of the jug under the upper handle juncture.ca. 1740
