DescriptionWhite salt-glazed stoneware jug with cover: three press-molded and applied mask-and-paw feet support a thrown and turned elongated pear-shaped body; the lower part of the body with gouged decoration in semi-circles and triangles; the upper part of the body decorated with molded and applied sprig depicting squirrels and flowers. The mouth has a small beak-shaped spout that is opposite the ribbed ear-shaped handle with pinched and kicked terminal. A low-domed and partially ribbed cover is topped with a lion knop and decorated with two sprigs to match those used on the body. Traces of original gilding all over.
