Label TextThe shape of this miniature sauceboat is adapted from a Chinese example. The floral decoration is unusual in that each petal and leaf is outlined in black, giving it a hard, crisp feeling. A similar sauceboat, undecorated, is in the Colonial Williamsburg collection (accession 1962-40).Inscription(s)NoMark(s)NoProvenanceEx coll: M.G. Kaufman, Chicago
