DescriptionTureen realistically molded in the shape of a cauliflower, in two parts, resting on its side. The flower is white while the leaves vary from dark to light green.Red anchor period.Label TextCauliflower tureens and their "plates" or "leaves" were listed in both the 1755 and 1756 Chelsea sale catalogs, always in sets of two. By 1756 they were made in at least two sizes, for most in that sale were listed as "large."
