DescriptionPunch bowl: circular bowl with high slightly tapered footring; the well of the bowl decorated with a rococo black transfer print of the arms of the Honorable Society of Bucks; the exterior decorated with four transfer prints in black: alternating between two transfer prints of hunt scenes and two of bucolic scenes—one with a man and woman and another with two women; the underside impressed “Wedgwood” and bearing an impressed “U” within the footring.Mark(s)The underside impressed “Wedgwood” and bearing an impressed “U” within the footring.ProvenancePreviously with Seal Simons (Philadelphia, PA).
