DescriptionPunch bowl: circular bowl with high slightly tapered footring; the well of the bowl decorated with a rococo black transfer print of the arms of the Honorable Society of Bucks; the exterior decorated with four transfer prints in black: alternating between two transfer prints of hunt scenes and two of bucolic scenes—one with a man and woman and another with two women; the underside impressed “Wedgwood” and bearing an impressed “U” within the footring.Mark(s)The underside impressed “Wedgwood” and bearing an impressed “U” within the footring.ProvenancePreviously with Seal Simons (Philadelphia, PA). In 2024, purchased by Martyn Edgell (Peterborough, England) and subsequently purchased by Robert Hunter (Yorktown, VA). In 2026 the latter sold it to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (Williamsburg, VA) where it remains to the present.
