DescriptionSilver punch or lemon strainer: Shallow circular bowl with narrow flared rim; one small conventionally shaped open-scrolled handle affixed to rim opposite one small suspension hook with notched and shaped exterior face. Outside of bowl with two engraved lines below rim; interior of bowl covered with stylized floral pattern composed of uniform circular piercings. Center of bowl pieced with one slightly larger circle.Label TextThis single-handled punch strainer is struck with both the block and the script initial marks used by Thomas Hammersley of New York.Inscription(s)Engraved on one side of top of handle with "H / TC*E: in threaded block letters (note that TC is conjoined).Mark(s)Marked in relief on top of handle "T·H" in block letters in rectangle.
