DescriptionspoonLabel TextThis spoon shows the survival of the basic Hanoverian spoon into the early decades of the nineteenth century. It still has the elongated oval bowl with its modified single drop with a pronounced lower lip. This type of drop appears on all of the English Hanoverian spoons in the Colonial Williamsburg collection, yet it is less common on American spoons of this type.
