DescriptionCup: coffee cup with short foot ring; molded ear-shaped handle applied to one side opposite central spray of flowers painted in pink, purple, red and green and flanked by corresponding smaller flower clusters; the exterior rim decorated with a wavy border of leaves and flowers painted in pink, green, and black. Saucer: deep circular saucer with foot ring; the interior painted ensuite with the cup with a wavey border of leaves and flowers and a central spray of flowers.ProvenanceDescended in the Tucker families of New York and Bermuda. Passed down to Catharine Fitch Tucker [February 28, 1879-August 22, 1970] of Paget, Bermuda, who gifted the piece to her nephew, Edward Bolton (Teddy) Tucker, MBE [May 8, 1929-June 9, 2014]; it then descended to his daughter Wendy Susan Tucker who subsequently gifted it to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in 2024.
