DescriptionStorage jar of ovid shape with everted rim and rolled foot; three concentric incised lines at shoulder serving as guides for attaching the two elongated pulled handles applied to opposite sides of the vessel, the terminals with thumb or finger print indentations. Decorated with splashes of manganese across the surface and covered with dipped lead glaze. Unglazed foot and about an inch from base of jar.ProvenanceEx collection Roddy Moore.
