DescriptionSilver mounted snus container: Ovoid nutshell mounted at either end with engraved, pointed silver caps. Larger top cap with small opening stoppered by a elongated, pointed silver pin attached to the cap by a silver chain.Label TextSnus is prepared by mixing and heating finely ground tobacco with water, salt, and an alkalizing agent. The resulting product is placed between the lip and the gums, much like chewing tobacco, but snus does not create the need to expectorate. First developed in the eighteenth century, snus is the most popular form of tobacco in Sweden and Norway.
