DescriptionTeapot of flattened bullet form mounted on a short stepped round base, on the bottom scratch weight"15:15" and scratched inventory marks "al 37 27 / lwa" with hallmarks in the center. The short spout emerges from a stylized foliate calyx over a shaped pendant, opposite the C-curve handle with silver foliate cap and foliate chased decoration on both mounts, the body and separate cover engraved with a conventional rococo pattern of strapwork between shells & interrupted by bellflowers, the former at the quarters and the latter between. The conventional turned wood finial is mounted with silver fittings on a screw-mount.
