DescriptionSilver salts, each with a stepped low circular splayed foot supporting a hemispherical body, topped with an applied gadrooned band at its lip.Label TextA scarce survival, this set of four salt cellars bear the mark of John Adam, one of a family of silversmiths who worked in Alexandria from the American Revolution through the early 20th century.
