DescriptionSalt Cellar: One of a pair of salts; body in form of straight-sided oval frame with applied beading at rim and sides pierced with sections of horizontal slotting with intervening circles; sides further enhanced with engraved decorative borders; body supported on four short cast legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet; fitted with blue glass liners; engraved with ovner's cypher "W M M" with flourishes.Mark(s)Fully marked in relief on underside of body: 1) Sponsor's mark "HB" in script within a rectangle; 2) leopard's head crowned; 3) lion passant; 4) date letter.ProvenanceEx Coll: Mr. and Mrs. Oliver F.
