DescriptionA pearlware jug of typical Liverpool shape, with molded strap handle, applied pouring lip, and reeded bands at the top and bottom of the body decorated with cobalt. An applied, molded oval badge beneath the spout features a crowned "GR" also picked out in cobalt blue. The badge is surrounded by scalloping and foliate vines incised and colored in the style of scratch blue decoration.ProvenancePurchased from Robert Weronwinski, James Island Antiques, Charleston, SC.
