DescriptionHemispherical bowl with narrow foot ring and narrow bead at the rim. Four sprigs applied to the exterior of the bowl: two floral sprays and two full-length images of Minerva surrounded by scrolls and foliage.Label TextThis bowl can be firmly credited as the work of William Greatbatch on the basis of archaeological kiln wasters.ProvenanceThis bowl has an 18th century provenance in the collections at Baden-Baden. In 1996 it was acquired from Garry Atkins (London, England) by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (Williamsburg, VA) where it remains to the present.
