DescriptionThis is an almost-square whole cloth quilt made of bright pink glazed worsted. The face fabrics consist of a number of pieces of plain-woven pink glazed worsted in three different dye lots. The quilt is backed with pieces and fragments of white blanketing, dark black-brown wool, and medium brown/blue/beige woven stripe. All of the backing textiles are plain woven and all are wool. The quilting pattern consists of a diamond grid in the center, bordered on all four sides by a border of interlacing circles, similar in appearance to "orange peel." The interlacing circles border is narrower at the quilt's top. The quilt is fragile, with some holes and abrasion. The quilting stitches, worked 6-7 per inch, are natural-color wool.
