DescriptionMolded, soft-paste porcelain beaker with a trimmed, circular foot. The molded rim has eight lobes. The decoration in relief resembles a tea-plant. There are four branches with leaves and flowers. The branches start at the base and spirals counter clockwise, terminating at the rim of the beaker. The leaves have been contoured in black and hand-painted with green, blue, purple, and yellow enamels. The flowers are hand-painted in various colored enamels, including blue, red, orange, and yellow. Inside the cup on the bottom, there is a hand-painted branch with one red fruit. There is a line of brown on the rim.Label TextThe flowers, branches, and leaves on this beaker are picked out in brilliant enamel colors and are outlined in black; fruit and leaves are painted on the interior bottom. Another beaker in the CWF collection (1962-62), which is of the same form, has flowers that were added on the inside rim to hide fire cracks.Mark(s)NoneProvenanceex coll: M.G. Kaufman
