DescriptionTwo-color salmon and gold silk damask that was once part of a gown skirt or petticoat. Woven design consists of a scrolling floral pattern, not a full repeat. Textile is an irregularly-shaped piece with striped dark blue and gold silk selvage along right edge. Small piece of white glazed linen stitched to the reverse. Once part of gown worn in New York, accession number 1985-143.1740-1760 (possibly altered later)
