DescriptionChild's gown of white cotton trimmed with eyelet embroidery used as insertion and edgings, with tucks at skirt hem. Wide squared neckline on gathered bodice with narrow inset waistband positioned slightly above waist level. The short, puffed sleeves have triangular "wings" sewn over the puff, typical of 1830s sleeves. Gathered skirt ends in 4 tucks and eyelet trim. Skirt gathers are carefully guaged at waistline.
