DescriptionSide chair; serpentine crest rail over solid, vasiform splat; trapezoidal seat with loose seat frame of yellow pine; straight front and side seat rails with quarter round molded upper edges; straight unmolded legs; H-plan stretchers. Normal side chair construction with following notes: shoe and rear seat rail not intregral; medial stretcher half dovetailed to side stretcher; two-part quarter round vertically grained glue blocks.Mark(s)"II" chiseled into rabbet of front seat rail; "VI" chiseled into loose seat frame.
