DescriptionBoy's hat made in three-cornered or cocked style, constructed of pale blue silk scroll-patterned damask and white satin over stiffened inner structure, trimmed at edge of brim with 1 3/8"-wide metallic lace. Flat crown. Interior lined with blue cotton; underside of brim covered with white satin, which shows where brim is cocked up.Label TextAccording to the donor, this hat was worn with a fancy dress suit at a party in New York about 1900.ca. 1900; style 18th c.
