Cotton tape with two metal grommets sewn to one side.Label TextDuring Colonial Williamsburg's Restoration period, they worked with a variety of scholars, artisans, and companies to furnish historic and reconstructed buildings onsite. One of these companies was Lenygon & Morant, founded in 1915 when cabinetmaker Frances Henry Lenygon purchased Morant & Co., a London-based upholstery and interior decorating business. The company produced furniture, panelling, plasterwork, and textiles based on historic models; this swatch, identified as "Buckhurst", is likely an example of the company's reproductions.Inscription(s)[Handwritten on the cotton tape] This.[Stampled in blue ink on the cotton tape, partially illegible] HURST
