DescriptionTrimming: handwoven natural color cotton canopy-edging done in a technique of 3/4" tabby woven and 3/4" voided stripes and bands; woven areas are tied off diagonally to form openwork of diamond design. Heading added for attaching to canopy frame; knotted fringe finishes bottom edge.ProvenanceFound by Mrs. Power among assortment of textiles known to have Virginia ownership histories.
