This example was used in the silver shop of Paul Revere (1734–1818) and was inherited by his grandson, George Revere (1795–1870).ProvenanceSpoon anvil that once belonged to Paul Revere and was inherited by his grandson George Revere. Sold by him Nov. 16, 1825, to Alexander Lincoln. Inherited by grandson, Alexander R. Lincoln, who sold it on April 25, 1929 to Philip Flayderman. Sold January 1930 to Francis P. Garvan.
