DescriptionStandard nose auger type. Half-cylinder boring device with an in-bent horizontal cutter on the nose. Upper end of boring section transitions into square-section shank with chamfered corners terminating approximately 2 3/4 inches below handle into square shank; square shank becomes tapering rectangular tang; tang is run through a hole in the handle and clenched, tightened by a clenched shim.Mark(s)"WELDON" and "SHEFFIELD" stamped on front of shank.
