DescriptionPlate: circular plate with press-molded 6-lobed edge in the Queen's Shape. The edge flanged slightly, and with an incised bead running around the periphery. The plate decorated with painted enamels in tones of purple and puce. The decoration comprising of a border of swags of wheat husks interrupted by bows, and the well painted with a floral spray to the center.Label TextThis pattern is often associated with Catherine the Great of Russia, but archaeological evidence suggests it was also available to other patrons in England and America.Inscription(s)NoneMark(s)"WEDGWOOD" impressed in slight arch to underside.ProvenanceSeveral old collections stickers to verso, but numbers only
