DescriptionLooking glass: cresting rail with juxtaposed scrolls and cut-outs; applied carved and gilt decoration in center consists of five free-standing, naturalistic plumes over shell (Prince of Wales feathers) and stylized leaves at base. Glass has beveled edges, indented upper corners; carved and gilt surrounds; larger burl veneered frame around this. Base of looking glass with cut-outs and scrolls similar in design to those of top.
