DescriptionWhite bobbin lace trim in dense, abstract scrolling design with areas of spider fillings. Scalloped edges. Honiton Lace originated in Honiton, Devon, England; it is created by working the individual design pieces separately from the net ground and then putting the design together near the end of the process. This technique was used in the making of Honiton lace between from its origins in the early fifteenth century until the beginning of the nineteenth century.
